Russian Brides expert Elena Petrova joined the team of Internet's top dating experts to produce a love and romance course for men, warns about rampant scams with fake Russian women in online personals.
Gold Coast, Australia -- November 6, 2006 -- Elena Petrova from www.WomenRussia.com has been invited as a contributing author to the newest dating course for men seeking to meet single women. Her chapter in the ‘Instant Attraction Program’ starts with a warning to men using online dating sites about Russian women contacting them through large Internet personals, and explaining how to find out if your correspondent is genuine or it is a scam.
According to Elena, 99% of correspondence from Russian women men receive through Internet dating sites is actually from scammers -- fake identities created by computer criminals with the pure goal of extracting money from gullible victims. The prevalent scheme is to request money for airplane tickets to be sent by Western Union to a receiver in Russia.
Elena warns, “Do not send money to anyone you haven’t met in person. If someone asks you for money for visa or tickets, this is most likely a scam. By sending money you are funding Internet criminals.”
According to Elena, virtually every man who registers with large dating sites receives enquiries from fake Russian brides. “The profile on the site may say the person is in the United States, Australia, or another country, but in their email they say they are from Russia. This is the first warning sign you are contacted by a fake.”
The criminals can be located in Russia as well as in any other country. In 2004, an American man was jailed for conducting a Russian brides scam and defrauding more than 250 victims to the total amount of US$737,521. Elena’s Russian Women Black List lists stories of men scammed of various amounts of money, publishing several new reports every week.
Elena notices, “Most men cannot tell real Russian women from fake Russian brides created by scammers. As a rule of thumb, men simply should not send money. If they are in contact with someone who claims to be from Russia, they should put their guard on.”
“Instant Attraction Program” features eleven of the Internet’s top dating experts, and is scheduled for release on November 7, 2006. The introduction pre-release price for the course is $49.95 (price after the offer ends $99.95). Interested users can pre-register here: http://www.womenrussia.com/peresylk.htm
