I am a divorced white male from the USA 45 years old. I was contacted through Yahoo personals by a woman whose name was Anuyta. I received approximately 30 e-mails over a month period The first couple were cute but she kept repeating that she loved me and wanted to live in the USA. She kept asking for the sum of 350$ to be sent to a bank in Tomsk. I tried to trick her first by saying I would move to Russia in which she replied that it was dangerous to live there, Then later telling her that I had contacted the INS and could get a Visa for 165$ Which she said she still had travel expenses and needed 350$. That's when I searched her name and this site came up. I was honestly considering to send her the money but she was so persistent it scared me and when I saw a near identical letter and the same pictures I knew. Jim

A couple days after posting my profile on Yahoo Personals I received this first e-mail. I tried to find out anything I could on who this was but was unsuccessful. They apparently don't use Yahoo but happened upon my profile through a search. I was finally successful at discovering more about them when whomever was sending me the message gave the last name "Bastrakova". Entering this complete name into my search immediately brought up your website. I was intrigued with the exact same letters, (word for word), that I had received. A friend sent a 'hello' e-mail to her e-mail address and promptly received the exact same letters and photos that I had and in the same order. This scammer is careful to not give a last name until they feel things are getting interesting. One of the e-mails they had sent me was sent out in a hurry and had "%Tofname" in place where my name should have appeared. They go by the username as "tikva789" at some unknown internet dating site. Hi dearest Nile! I have gotten your answer as usual, and I was so happy from your words again! Nile, I want to say to you that your messages became an important part of me and my life, your e-mails help me live, I don't have boring mood in general, but it there comes when is bad weather in the street when it's coldly. But when I receive your warm messages, I forget about bad mood at once, I have a smile on my face and magnificent mood from your e-mails. I can't without your messages now, Nile. You can see that I write to you so long inform e-mails about myself, because I want that we know about ourself very much. I thought that it's so important for us Nile, really Nile? But I like summer very much! I like summer because in this season I have a vacation from my job in the start of August, it's so nice. I like to spend this vacation with my family and with my friends too. Basically, in vacation I like to go to camping too in the wood, which is situated around near Kazan City. Nile, I hope that you know that our Russian woods are so beautiful, I hope in America too. There are the pines and beautiful Russian birches basically in our woods. Also through this wood proceeds the small river, this place is so real romanticism, believe me Nile! We are with my family, my dad, my mom, and my sisters pack a backpacks, we take a large tent, we take a necessary foodstuff, and we are together with my family go to camping. I like this very much, Nile. Especially, I like to be near this small river too, my dad like to fish very much, I'm not fisher :) But, once I have tried to fish, and I have catched a small carp too :) I was so surprised by this, and what about you? The gifts were lost by this Service for the not clear reasons. It was so pity for Frank, and, is especially for Natasha. She cried very much from this to a mountain. Frank wanted to submit to court on this Service, but Natasha reconvinced Frank to not submit to court on this Service. So this beautiful gifts was lost without a trace, Nile. Out of the blue, I received email from a 29yo woman calling herself "Ekaterina." (I had not been attempting to meet a Russian woman or even a woman outside of my geographical area). She sent me a couple of very lengthy emails describing herself, her family, her life, her job, etc etc. She purported to be very religious as well. I answered her emails as though they were normal correspondence, but I was frustrated with her replies, because although they were lengthy, they did not respond to any of my questions. I discussed this with my best friend and he said, "Once she asks for money, you know it's a scam." The correspondence went on uninterrupted for about 10 days, (always accompanied by a picture some of which I have attached) and she feel "eternally in love with only me" in the space of a week! Then she asked for money to pay for a visa at the US Embassy in Moscow, told me to send $390 in USD via Western Union to a bank in Kazan and to give her a ten-digit confirmation number. I knew then it was a scam because I happen to know a little about how visas are obtained. My friend then typed her name into a Google search, and I found the Blackpage listing for my sweetheart, complete with the same pictures and identical letters that she had sent me, but with another man's name! I was so broken-hearted HA HA HA! It sure must be tough to get those "B-2 Visas!" Here are some excerpts from her emails and some pictures.
