Contact came through their system a few days after the addition, which requires a paid membership in order to send e-mail to someone who has posted a profile. Immediate suspicion due to standard financial condition of many in Russia. Tone of initial message made me think "Nigeria Scam". Decided to play along just to see where it went, and perhaps a bit of fantasy thinking that this person could be real. There was a suggestion leading up to a trip to Russia. I responded about how I needed to save up some money after the current trip to Brazil is over, and besides since we had only been in contact two weeks it was rather difficult to determine if she was the correct woman for me or not. Second, more direct request received for help with visa papers. Stated that in the past Western Union requires a $90 handling fee. Suggested that it might be more useful to find some other way. Suggested that we missionaries transfer money through the banks just fine, and wondered why it would be so difficult to not just use an American bank to transfer the money? (I didn't say this, but after all, the US$ used to pay the Yahoo $19.95 monthly fee for personal profile responses has to be coming from somewhere, right?) Ongoing contact with her. All photographs appear to be posed to some extent or the other. The one that finally pushed me over the edge and made me seek out a scam page was the one in a swimsuit. What woman naturally hold her hands like that? She is also looking at a point below the camera, and possibly a little to the side. This is not a snapshot. This is a posed photograph taken under the direction of someone standing out of view of the camera, and she appears to be looking at this person who is guiding her position.
