I responded to a Yahoo Personals profile said to be in Salem Oregon. Later that day I got three other E-mails from different Russian women. What, no Americans? The original contact wrote back as smalfairy@mail15.com calling herself Iraida, no last name yet but I'm working on her. The letters match those on Pg.268 Blacklist update for Irina Naberezhne (Chelny, Russia) and Irina (Beautifulflower26) but the photo is different. This all took place between Oct. 20 2004 and going as of Nov 1 2004. Thanks Steve and John for posting your letters. I knew I would find something on this site--Rock Solid Greg.

I am a single man of 45 years from Australia. I was contacted by this scammer on the findsomeone.com.au website. They use the screen name "pushinkaa" & send emails in the name of Irina using the email address irina_kiss@iwoman.ru. As you can see large slabs of the text of letters is verbatim copy including spelling error's. The scam involves asking for money again as before. Scam terminated by me before money was sent as it was obvious. The scammer was reported to the website. I include a sample of the emails. C'Ya Chris.

The letter seemed innocent enough so I decided to write her. We immediately started corresponding with one another on a daily basis. At the seventh letter she
proceeded to tell me that she loved me. I decided to do some research on Ivanovo, Russia and discovered the different blacklist sites about scammers. I confronted her with my concerns that she might be one of them and she wrote me back to the effect that she was not. Still wary I checked out this sites list and found her under the name Marina Kushakova of Ussuriysk, Russia. Her first letter to me was identical to the one she sent to Bob Hughes with the exception of the name and town being different. I have wrote to her letting her know I am on to her. This is her first and last letters to me.

I am a divorced white male, 43 yrs old. I received an e-mail after checking my Yahoo Personals mailbox. It was for an "Irina Kondrateva" She described herself as 29 yrs old, born Nov 20, 1974. Living in Kazan Russian Federation. Attended Kazan Polytechnic University. Received three e-mails and each one wanted more personal information, I gave her false information to keep her on the line. After checking with the University she claimed to attend, I forwarded my information and all e-mails to a relative who works for the US Government. Her last e-mail asked for my full name and address to mail to. The previous mail wanted my home phone number. She or "IT" never got around to asking for any money. After giving all of the information to my Brother in Law I sent her a final e-mail advising her that her "SCAM" had been detected after the first e-mail. I mean come on, an unrequested e-mail from a beautiful foreign born lady?!

I'm Kevin, single father of one, 44 yr old Canadian. I was contacted through the Yahoo Personals site. When I opened the email, there was no profile associated with it, as I would expect. This seemed curious, but in hindsight, I assume that Yahoo pulled whatever profile there was. I've received about 6 emails over the past 10 days. The thing that got me suspicious was her ignoring my requests to write to a different email address. Gave me a story about her boss's computer possibly breaking down. A few pictures attached. Same letters as those sent in by Rick in your March 16, 2004, page 220 black list updates, with some minor modifications. The last two letters were obviously pre-written. A couple of lines at the start that would answer a question of mine, and the rest of the text uses my name (or whatever victim) very frequently for a personal touch. I received the I LOVE YOU letter yesterday, and was informed that she is checking into passports and visas. So maybe tomorrow I will recieve the money request?

Katerina Tumanova (Kiev, Ukraine)
On June 2004 I started communication with Katerina Tumanova, an Ukranian lady from Kiev that I found in one of the many dating web pages (http//friendfinder.com). According to her and after frequent exchange of messages for several weeks (in perfect English), she was very interested in my person and she wanted to meet me in my country since she was on holidays. I even managed to talk to her once through the telephone, some other attempts being unsuccessful, what I attributed to the busy line. She told me that a relative worked in the corresponding Embassy in Kiev and therefore it was easy for her to get the visa. She sent to me the flight schedule for the 8 th of July (via Amsterdam) and the tickets price. I tried to buy the tickets in my country and send them to Ukraine, but she said that this kind of sponsorship could be a problem to get the visa. Therefore, after checking the schedule and prices I sent to her $720. She sent me photos of her with the tickets. Two days before taking the flight she told me that there was an additional problem: from the airport customs she was said that she only could pass the visa control at the airport if she brought with her $1500, to demonstrate that she was not going to carry out any kind of illegal activities abroad to survive. I was confirmed that this rule exists in Ukraine for certain type of visas. Finally, she managed to get $600 from her relatives and I sent to her $900. She told me that would give me back the $900 as soon as we met. Unfortunately, the Embassy of my country in Kiev didn't assist my telephone calls to confirm me the application of the visa and additionally I was very busy involved in the organization of some important and urgent events that I couldn't try and investigate her identity and real intentions. Thus, she managed to change the flight date, I expected her to come on the 10 th of July. I prepared everything for this meeting and to take her with me to one important event the night of her arrival. However, I felt as a perfect idiot wearing my suit and bringing so beautiful flower's bouquet at the exit of the airport after checking that she had not taken the expected flight. I didn't receive any phone call or message. After sending her two e-mail messages on the 10 th and 11th of July I received a message from her brother (but very probably the same person) on Monday 12 asking me about her sister. He told me that he thought that she was with me in my country, since he saw how she passed the passport control in Kiev with no problem. However, I called to KLM and they confirmed me that this lady had not taken the flight Kiev-Amsterdam. Later on, he wrote again telling me that his sister's purse with all documents and money was stolen in Amsterdam airport and that the police had retained there for two days till checking her identity. I did not have any news from her until Thursday 15, just after writing her a message the same day, extremely annoyed, telling her what I thought about her and about her unbelievable story, as well as the legal steps I was going to follow against her. I was in Kiev in August, where I was confirmed by the Embassy that Katerina Tumanova never applied for a visa there. Unfortunately, I could not get in touch with the Embassy before the scam. According to a detective agency in Kiev, the address she gave me is false and the telephone number corresponds to an anonymous mobile. She was registered at a different address whose owners received $1000 about one year ago to allow registering a young woman in their address, but without living in there. It seems that Ekaterina Tumanova is a member of a professional organisation of swindlers. As a result of this scam I lost $1620, a lot of time, and the worst, I suffered much moral pain and humiliation. The only I would like is to apply justice over this organization and avoid that other honest persons, as I am, are victims of such an unscrupulous people. Viktor

I want that all people around you know what a monster you are. But it's not the worst thing i will do. A person with your name, surname and passport data that i will specify for sure will never get any visa to all
European union countries and east Europe. My aunt will help me in it! You can consider that you have a blacklist in all european countries. I owe you nothing and i can easily prove that i have my tickets which now is nothing just a piece of paper,what money are you talking about??Dear, wake up ..i am not afraid of you and - you can have big problem with traveling in europe ....he-he-he..if you did something against me... You will answer for this according the law! But what you can do?...nothing.. I am right in any case and easy can prove that i own you nothing. I am happy that you lost your money and i never meet with you. Greedy people as you are ,always pay dobule price..!! Buy the way who will give me back my money which i spent for my visa? Maybe, you will go to western union and send me this sum back? I thought you loved me and would support me in happiness and in trouble as well, but you showed your real face.
