(Penza, Russia) I am 36, I live in Canada. This scammer initially contacted me through a "collect call" on LavaLife. The correspondence lasted approximately 3 weeks. The email she used was ( rusgir@nekto.com ). After 5 or 6 emails, she was in love with me. Another lame attempt to scam some money from me, I had no intentions of sending a dime. I actually got this person to give me a phone-call from Russia, of course the call only lasted about 60 seconds and it sounded like a faked voice. They are becoming so predictable and obvious, replies are obviously pre-fabricated because they usually never answer any of your questions. The usual requests for money to pay for Visas, Passports and medical exams, were made. I kept insisting that I go see her first, but that was always ignored in her replies. A simple rule to follow with these situations: " If it is to good to be true, it usually is....". I have included some photos along with sample letters below.

Also like all the others she was very interested in me and after a few letters she fell head over heels in love with me. As you'll see in the letters below she wanted me to send her $350 for her visa so that she could come live with me as my wife. She wasn't reading the responses I would send back because she would never answer any questions I would ask her. I even saw the same letter she wrote to me used to another person on the site here. She finally stopped sending me messages the other day when I guess she realized she wasn't going to get any money out of me. Funny how love works that way, huh? ;) Be careful out there.

I was pretty sure it was a scam, as I had received replies from them before and deleted them. But I decided to flirt and play a game and see what happened. Eventually she talked about meeting me. I asked her to check on getting a VISA. I was trying to see if she would and would actually come to the US. She told me she needed money to get a VISA and her family couldn't come up with the money and asked me to Western Union over $300. I told her I didn't have the funds at the time even though I am a financially stable man. I refuse to give money to someone I don't know, a homeless person, or help someone when I feel I am being used. She kept e-mailing until I asked her questions such as her phone number, and if she was in contact with anyone else but me. It was all just a fun game with no intentions of ever meeting. I then found this website and confirmed 100% that it is indeed a scam. Thanks Sacha!
