2-10-05. Everything seemed to be going okay until her most recent letter from
2-10-05 in which she asked for $300.00 from me to obtain a visa in order to come and see me.
She hasn't asked for airfare yet.
For some reason that I began to have my doubts about her, I searched your
Blacklist Archives and found a photo of her on that website. It appears that an Elmer L.K. had corrospondence with an Elena Volkova
from 11-23-04 to 12-21-04. I read his submitted letters and they are quite different
from what I have, yet, one of the photos he submitted is an exact one that I received from her.
I believe that Elena Volkova and Elena Ushakova are the same person.
She originally contacted me from a profile of myself at Webdate.com
I have several photos of her and about 6 letters from her. She has even
given me her postal
address, which I sent her a card last month. And she even sent me another
photo of her via my postal address I had given her earlier.
As of the $300.00 visa money, she put a WesternUnion link in her last
email for me to access. She has stated of applying for the visa through a
lawyer friend of her uncle. This lawyer works with a company that works
with the US Embassy in Moscow. Elena also mentioned that the US Embassy
has limited the amount of visas as of February 10, 2005, and that I have about a week from the 10th to wire the visa money
She and I both talked about meeting in person earlier on, but now to hear
this, well, it sounds pretty suspicious to me! She hasn't cut me off yet as she has Elmer, so,
I'm thinking of stringing her along if possible. I'll keep you folks

I am a 52 year old divorced male in the USA. This report makes 8 for 8 of the current scammers I have been corresponding with, bringing the grand total of my reports to 26 so far. I was first contacted by this scammer on January 13. 2005 through the OtherSingles site. The e-mail address used was
ladysingle@list.ru This scam is the typical money for visa, passport and airfare. Actually, money was only asked for vias and passport, and that was only $200 (pretty cheap by scammer standards) but I assume more would be asked for once they got that much. This scammer (same name, pictures, letters etc.) had been reported by someone else to another black list and that was from a month or more ago. This one was distinctive in that the letters got to be very sexually explicit toward the end. Also the photos were often sent in groups of 2, 3 or 4 on a page instead of individually. The first picture sent had 12 face shots all on one page. Included are the more important letters and a few of the many pictures that I received.
