I am a foolish 54 year old man from the United States who is desparate to find a partner. The keyword here guys is
"desparate" because it makes you want to believe the person even when the signs are pointing in a different direction. This woman is very, very slick but the scam is typical in that it involves getting money for passport, visa, tickets and insurance. She gives her address as: Mira 19/51,
Cheboksary, Russia. The email address used: irina123200489@mail.ru. Her age: 28. She claimed to be the manager of a computer parts retailer in
Cheboksary. I am not publishing the letters because we corresponded for 3 months. I have in the neighborhood of 100 letters! For the first month or two she wrote every day which is another reason that I was not suspicious. In addition, you would learn little from them save that she fell in love very fast. She never makes a direct plea for money. Instead she begins to talk of wanting to be with you and not being able to wait for it. It is only when you bring it up that she will give you the costs and she tells you to use Western Union. She told me she could not help with the costs because she and her mother needed all of the little that they made to live on. This in itself did not arouse my suspicions. I sent her $80 for a passport. Then she said that the passport would cost more and she would use the $80 to buy a nice dress and some underwear for her trip over. The price for the passport went up to approx. $160. All of her letters, for the most part, were filled with expressions of love, how she dreamed of us being together and little else. It was very difficult to get her to answer questions but she would eventually come up with an answer. Suddenly, she claimed illness and did not write for many days. I finally received a letter saying that she was in the hospital and that she had sent an "ambassador" to write to me to let me know she was
allright. This did not arouse my suspicions either but after this time her letters came less frequently. Even so I sent her $450 for a visa and misc. expenses. She said the visa was $420. After sending this money she announced to me that she and her mother had gone skiing not once but twice! This raised my suspicions and I told her at this time that I would not send her cash for a plane ticket and that I would purchase an e-ticket for her even though she was still insisting on cash. This only increased my suspicions because even though she claimed to want us to be together she was refusing the e-ticket. At this point the letters were coming every three days, if I was lucky, and it was at this point that I said goodbye. Today is March 21, 2005 and I said goodbye to this person last week after having written to her since the latter part of November 2004. I hope that this will help someone else from doing something stupid and being hurt. Please keep that old saying in mind, "If something seems too good to be true, it probably is." Plus, if the woman is young enough to be your daughter you need to do a reality check especially if you are only an average looking guy. Ed

I wanted to send this scam alert to your website because I don't want anyone else falling for this. When I was first contacted by "Katya", I decided to do some research and came across your website. This is absolutely the best website for finding a russian woman AND for finding out if they are trying to scam you or not! Because of your website, I DID NOT fall for the scam and sent no money. The email she uses is
kukolkamoya@mail.ru. Notice how the syntax is much more broken
in the second email than in the first email. She totally disregarded my statement about her visa and asked for money.
I hope this helps other people to avoid this sort of unfortunate

I’m a 47 year old single male from California. Ksuaha contacted me though perfectmatch.com and we’ve been writing for 3 months. I was planning to visit her in the summer (05), but while doing research on Russian Visa’s, I came across the blacklist. There she was with two complaints. One from Kevin, and then an update from Dennis. At first Kevin’s proof was not all that concerning. A typical form letter I’m sure many Russian women use to respond to hundreds of interests. Kevin’s proof letter from Ksusha never indicated any request for money. Then I saw an update on her from Dennis. His documentation proved request for money. Around March 10, Ksusha was expecting money from Dennis. At the same time she did not write to me for two weeks. I guess after she learned that Dennis wasn’t going to send her money, I received two quick letters from her professing her undying love for me and sexual fantasies. Very similar to what Dennis received from her. I also googled her and found out that her postal address is also fake since www.roses.ru could not deliver flowers due to an invalid postal address. I sent her a ‘Dear Jane” letter about her deceit and haven’t heard from her since. I have received the same pics that are already posted, so I will include some new ones in case she tries to use them. She says she can only use the internet café 1-2 times per week at a cost of $68 USD per month when she only earns $130 per month; rest assured she is actually using her time to defraud other men. It’s not easy to get a visa to visit Russia unless you’re booked through a hotel. She wanted me to stay with her at her apt, which would require her to make a formal invitation from her Russian government. Russian women can’t just get a tourist visa to the US easily at any cost. And if she does visit and marries in the US, she still needs to go home and you have to apply or a fiancé or immigration visa, so be warned. I believe Dennis got the tables turned on him when he planned to visit her; she twisted it into her visiting him in the US. Don’t plan to visit her, she’ll probably set you up for giving her money and has no intention of coming to the US to meet you. She might just leave you stranded at the Moscow airport and try to have you robbed. Dave
