I am a 41 year old male, I run my own business, and have tried the internet for dating since i do not have alot of time. I had my profile on Yahoo personals when Natalia responded. I received a message from this women about 2 weeks ago. She seemed interested in me in an instant. We have emailed each other, and things seemed to be going well. She did want to write me a letter and had sent her complete address, that is when i received her last name. Last night I wanted to do a search of her town when I came across your site. I was sad to see her name on your black list until I read the letter she sent another man. Its the exact same letter. Which I will copy it to this, the photos also match which i have attached. Here is her last letter to me, which i feel is very important since it matches the other letter she wrote to another that is listed on your site. It just shows she is not only scamming, but is lazy since she cant write an original letter. I want to thank this site for being avaiable, you saved me heart ache, and money I am sure.

I have not seen this lake early, but it was so beautiful and quiet, and barrels an easy warm breeze. Hi; I was contacted by this woman on a local personals site. Osprey Personals. ( The site has been notified; But I have yet to receive a response from them. ) At first she seemed normal and sincerally nice. In a matter of 13 letters she has fallen in love and needs my financial help in order for us to be together. She has requested monies for a visa and airfare. I stumbled across this site and with the gut feeling that something wasn't right with this woman i searched for her. And to no surprise I found her listed on a couple of sites. Also the letter that was posted was almost identical to one of mine. I've also found other listings of letters that are also very identical. I did not fall for her send money so we can be together scam. I did however string her along. I sent her to the bank across the city from the one she requested. I managed to inconvience her for a few trips. Here is the info I have for her, and a few letters. Dear Elena, I'm a single Canadian male, 46 years old. A little over a month ago, I received an e-mail from "Natalya", who had apparently found my profile on a North American dating website. This guy (I'm assuming it's a guy, of course) is a little more sophisticated than a lot of scammers. For one thing, he's patient. He's sent me about 10 e-mails or so over the past several weeks, and "Natalya" has yet to request any money. He's also been careful not to have Natalya fall in love with me too quickly. Furthermore, he's constructed his e-mails in such a way that it appears on first reading that "Natalya" is actually responding to things I've written in mine; however, a more careful reading reveals that these "responses" are merely pre-packaged, generalized comments that don't make any detailed mention of anything I've written. He's also made sure not to go overboard with the photos he's sent. Rather than choosing professionally shot pics of drop-dead-gorgeous models, he's chosen very homey-looking snapshots of an admittedly pretty but otherwise ordinary woman; he's even included one where she's seen with her mother, apparently. Despite all these precautions, however, the usual scam elements are there--the casual reference to how little money "Natalya" makes; her ailing mother; the fact that Russia is a very scary place for a foreigner such as myself to visit; her volunteering the information that she's a virgin, etc., etc. This guy is careful, too. As soon as I started pressing "Natalya" for more information about herself--a last name, where she saw my profile, etc.--she vanished. I haven't heard from "her" since. I'm enclosing some of the letters "Natalya" has sent, just to give you an idea of how things have progressed. I've also enclosed a few photos. Beware, gentlemen--this guy's a little more clever than your average scammer.

Hi Don. I am happy to see the new letter from you. I want to tell you more about myself; also I would like to tell you about my family. For my unhappiness I lost my father 5 years ago. He had a lung cancer because of frequent smoking. My mather still alive but after death of my father, she was so bad and she had heart attack. And our doctors told her that she must live in village, because there is free air and there is no city noise . It was very difficult time for me to overcome father, i loved him so much, but my friends told me that i must be strong, he watch what i do. I need him so much, his care, his kind advices and his love. I think that it is necessarily to have some support in the life! What about my collaborators, all of them are girls. Our teaching staff is not big. All of them like this work very much. And we give all our strength and knowledge to the children. Was corresponding with this woman for a few weeks. She initially wrote to me through a dating website and asked me to respond directly to her email address (svmisty@list.ru). After only a few days her profile had been removed from the dating website. It appeared to be a bit suspicious as emails looked liked they had been copied and pasted directly from online translation webpages even though she apparently spoke English well. She was not prepared to give a phone number or use any messenger services to maintain contact and did not provide any address details when asked. Suggestions of meeting in Russia were ignored and a foreign trip was clearly out of the question due to costs. After several weeks a best friend called Veronica was introduced. The following week Veronica sent an email from the same email address that Svetlana used and informed me of a serious car accident that Svetlana was involved in. Svetlana apparently was in a coma with serious injuries that required an operation costing several thousand dollars and I was asked to help with the costs. I informed Veronica that this sounded like a scam and heard no response since. This appears to be Svetlana Davidova as reported by Nick on the 29th March 2005. Steve
