I am recently divorced and joined yahoo personals. I was contacted by Marina, who asked me for my personal email to supply a picture. Her profile went inactive in yahoo personals. She asked me for $400 twice, for money for the visa, passport and photos. After about 4 emails, she already said she loved me.

I searched through some scam reports on Russian women and noted some letters were very similar to mine. I did not send her money, and stopped correspondence with her, but she still thanked me for letters and kept writing, and asking for the cash.

Letter 1

Hi Chris! I am glad, that today I have received news from you, thank you that have written to me. The truth I never in the life communicated with the person who does not live in Russia, and talks on not my native language. But I well understand everything that you write to me. When I went to school, and then at university I had very good teachers on the English language and consequently I can read your letters without assistance and write to you. My growth of 172 centimeters, weight of 57 kgs. I now work in one of Fitness the centers of our city as the instructor on Fitness. And me it is work very much it is pleasant. I very much like walks on fresh air, I very much love a nature. I like the sea and am pleasant to float, in the summer I frequently bathe and I sunbathe on a coast of our remarkable river Volga. At us in city Samara in which I was born and a lot of water has grown. Inhabitants of our city name his Volga Venice. There is in Samara one unusual street which name "Blue Street", is a ship canal with sluices. The channel passes directly on city. On it go court from Caspian Sea and Baltic, from the White and Black seas. I love life - I am an optimist, and I believe, that the majority beautiful a thing expects us in the future. I believe in the God and destiny, and I expect my unique person. I believe in family and love, and I search for persons to the one whom I shall give all high temperature of my heart and with that whom I shall be always together..., I want to divide with it all things - good and sad, all which we shall meet in our life. My person, clever also has strong spirit, it is kind and magnanimous and generous, it will do that - be for me, and will know, that I shall do that - be for him. Unique my person who requires love and may give love. It is a person who requires reliable family and fair attitudes. I to want, that you would send me the photo. Now we live with mum. My mum call Elena Aleksandrovna, he/she is very interesting person. I always share the pleasures and griefs with it. She never will give up to me in advice. I think, that you understand, that the overall objective in my life is to find that only thing, my second part of me with which I can go through all difficulties of life. I want to inform you a little more on my life. I to rise morning at 7 o'clock in the morning, I prepare myself for breakfast. In the mornings I eat a sandwich and I drink coffee. Then I go on work. Day off at me Saturday and Sunday. In day off I to like to read books to go to walk on city to visit a cinema. Besides in days off I spend a lot of time on homework’s. I like to prepare for houses, me to like to please close preparing them any tasty things. As it is impossible to explain in a word as it is tasty, it needs to be tried. In the afternoon in days off I am cleaned at home, I like, when the order of a house. Really, if to think. It usually connects peoples and the Countries. Friends, but real friends will be happy for their friend if she will find true love. It was carefree years, we lived and we did not have those problems which have appeared when I have grown. I went to school on good and excellent. I always remember my first teacher (Tatiana Andreevna), she has opened for us a door in knowledge and due to her I can communicate with people freely. My honey ! it is me,can you believe I am in Moscow. I can't believe ,it was wonderful flight and they gave red vine in plane, wow,I have never tried such tasty one!!!!! I placed a personals ad "Man Seeking Woman" on Craigslist Moscow. I am a 
single man 42 years old I just got scammed and sent over $550 dollars to this one calling herself Alexandra Kotvan. She said it was for her plane ticket. (She requested $2,000 more a few days later. Then she/they kept scamming me sending an email from a friend "Jenny@wantmeet.info" with the same spam title
"Greetings, to european men", same as in the Budashkina story. I replyed being supsicious that I got spamed again with the exact same initial message. A few days later this email comes from a woman calling herself Dasha Versionova "<koza1rus@yahoo.com>", then I got a 3rd & 4th e-mail from someone with the same picture calling herself a different name. I played along with the "Dasha Versionova" story cause I suspected it was a gang of Russian Men/Scammers and was going to have the police arrest them in Moscow at the Western Union when they asked me for more $$. The final 2 e-mails were sent at the same instant pretending to be from "racher88@hotmail.com". But after studying the header information these messages were received from 2 different IP numbers. "cm218-254-27-26.hkcable.com.hk ([218.254.27.26)] (Hong Kong), and the 2nd says "BILL GATES ([61.242.184.1]). They message title was "Fw:Greeting from russia  princess.. (MSN.com)" So I think I have been scammed by a GANG of SCAMMERS! angela@persmail.info is the new reply e-mail address. I set up a website: http://russianbridescam.tripod.com with all the letters, and I am preparing to send my report to the Russian Embassy, American Embassy, Western Union, and all the domains of the e-mail addresses being used. I have now!honey I have a few news ones of them are nice and others are not so nice.At first I am so happy that we will be together in a few days and I will begin new life,it seems to me I live in any Hollywood film and I am the main hero.funny really ???I think you think that I am a silly girl but try to imagine it is the first time in my life I have so many impressions,so many nice dreams and so many plans,I do hope it will work well.well,about our business!you know that I have been at the Embassy today and had an interview there. We have talked alot, they asked me about my income and property of my parents,also I showed paper that I booked tickets with returning dates.the things is that too many young people want to leave russia and embassy make many barriers on this way!it seems to me that look at me they think that I want to stay forever and don't return home ,but one good thing they tell I have enough good english !well,bad news is that now my visa is ready but not approved , because I need to show to the custom service and to the visa passport service living minimum for this period of time ,it means that I have to have the money with me.the amount is $2000 .It is law of passport visa service and they require it to make sure that person have enough money for living needs and will not stay illegally. I have told them that I will work and earn money but they said that it is not their business and it is very strong rule for all persons who wants to leave Russia. In other case if i don't have this amount with me visa process will be canceled. Honey I know that it sounds ugly but again nice thing that all the money will be with me and I will only show cash . and I will save it with me and when you meet me in airport I will return all amount to you ,maybe I spend few dollars to bye any small gift for you,only 10 or 20 dollars!Honey my honey please try to send the money as soon as possible I need to approve my visa till tomorrow evening (my last interview ),do not worry This is our last step and we will be together. I'm not going to ask something yet, this is the last time.they tell it is all I must have
and there will be not any problems on my way. I will be waiting for your answer today. Remember I do not pay this amount just show that I have. I will wait for your info and I do hope it is last problem on this way,I hate politicans ,they imagined so many barriers and borders,why simple people can't just meet each
other?I can't understand it!They fly without any problems and we have to pay

it is me your great headache,you were right to worry because they don't let me travel to you.they tell that I have to be married,have enough many things here in russia like any business I can lose if I stay in your country illedaly.of short they don't want to let me travel because they have great fear I will not return,there is only one way to get student visa.I have to return home to get all nesseary documents that I am real student and I think it takes about a week or so.Please don't worry too much,I will keep money well and I don't need any money more it is enough to arrange our meeting and I will try to borrow some money when I am at home to have some extra money.I am so sad you can't imagine,it is like I fall from heaven and it was great pain.I will return home tomorrow and I think I will
