IRINA TARAKONOVA
( St. Petersburg, Russia) Destiny of Hearts Internet Club
My name is "John" from East Coast, USA The above listed person(s) was listed on www.match.com as a single 23 y.o. woman who was looking for marriage. After 2 e-mails she requested I help her with her "Agency" fee's of $1850 so she can come to the U.S on a student visa. She was persistent that I give her my home telephone number so she can call me right away, as her "Agency" sponsorship was about to expire in 2 weeks. She went on to tell me how she can pay me back once she arrives with her tuition grant money she will get in 30 days. Luckily my better judgment took over and I did a search on this "Destiny of Hearts Internet Club" and I found this site under a general search. Low and Behold, there's "Irina's" picture that she just sent to me under another scam name of "Elina Artemieva" and some guy named Michael that was apparently scammed by her. Pictures enclosed of the girl used in this scam. I'm sure that this has been going on for quite some time now.
Use your better judgment !!!!!!

THIS GIRL WILL SEND SEVERAL LETTERS AND THEN WILL TELL YOU THAT SHE
OWES THE INTERNET CAFE $100.00 AND IF SHE DOESN'T PAY IT SHE CAN'T SEND OR
RECEIVE ANY MORE LETTERS FROM YOU. ALSO SHE WILL TELL YOU HOW SHE ONLY MAKES A LITTLE MONEY AT A FLOWER SHOP. THEN SHE WILL LATER ASK FOR MORE MONEY AND IF SHE
DOESN'T GET IT, SHE STOPS COMMUNICATION. I CONTACTED HER USING ANOTHER EMAIL ADDRESS AND NAME AND THE SAME STORY AGAIN. I SENT MONEY THE FIRST TIME.
Marina Antonova
(Yoshkar-Ola, Russia)
A 27 year old Russian woman recently scammed me. Her name is Marina Antonova, house 72, apartment 113, Street MIRA, Yoshkar-Ola, Russia Republic Mari-El. I met Marina Antonova on kiss.com in September 2001 and she had the common characteristics of a scammer. (But I did not know this when I was being scammed) The traits that she possesses are: she has a father that is dead, she has a friend in a transport company, she uses a passage from a romance novel, and that I must pay for the trip she will take four our meeting here. We wrote to each other for a very eventful one month and six days.
I saw Marina Antonova's first e-mail to me around 29 September 2001 and I answered her first e-mail on 29 September 2001, but that one was lost because it was part of the kiss.com mailbox and they deleted it. The first e-mail that I sent her revealed some things about me like I am single, where I work and my likes and dislikes. Her next letter reveals things about herself, but it also lists that her father died and she lives with her mum. And, in the same letter she states that she did not write to me until today, which was six days later because she visited her mum. She also does not have a computer or a phone. We continue to write about our likes, dislikes and reveal more information about ourselves until 10 October 2001.
I did not write for one week between 10 October 2001 and 16 October 2001 because I was busy. It was between this time that she tells me about her friend at the transport company. The cost of the package of Visa, Passport, and Insurance she quotes as 357 $ US. She then asks when will I send the money by Western Union with her name, address, and bank. It is through one of these letters that she paraphrases a romantic novel passage.
Romantic novel passage:
Hi my love! I today to rise in the morning in very good mood. To me today night was dream. I to arrive in you in the visitors. You to meet me from the large bouquets of red roses. Then you me a kiss. We go walk on your city and you to show me your sights. On was very cheerful. Then we to go to you home and I to prepare to us celebratory supper. We sit on against each other and we look in eyes. On a table a bottle of easy champagne and 3 candles. Light dimly burns in a gloom of evening. You to include slow music and to invite me to dance. You gently to embrace me behind a neck and caress my mouth. Then we go in your room you to throw off from us all clothes and we to be engaged love. For me it for the first time, but you it to
know and consequently you with me the tenderness and care is limiting to not do(make) to me a pain. We to be engaged in it till the morning then to have dream before dinner. I to rise before you and to prepare to you in bed breakfast and coffee. I to do(make) to you improving massage and it is very good.
On 18 October 2001 Marina Antonova writes about our relations. She states that her mum thinks that we should examine our relations and see about marriage whether or not. Marina then writes that
"I write to you as serious, understand?". This is basically the last letter on our emotions that she writes because after she gets the 357 $ US for the Visa package and the 1070 $ US for airline tickets, her letters are shorter. But, she ends two letters as
"your future wife Marina". The last letters are coming up.
Her last letters are from 1 November 2001 to 4 November 2001. Marina's last big letter was on 1 November 2001 where she requests 620 $ US for flight insurance to insure that she will visit me and come back. This has no bearing on the Visa decision and is unnecessary. She also says that she is in Moscow. This is false due to the IP address on the e-mail that lists mari-el for the place of the computer. This is backed up by the fact that the lady from the Moscow call center at the U.S. embassy told me that Marina Antonova is not in the database. Her last letter on 4 November 2001 tells me that she will write a long letter on 5 November 2001, but she never writes to me again.
The Western Union money transfers numbers four and they total a heavy sum. One transfer was for 357 $ US. Two transfers totaled 1070 $ US. And, one transfer totaled 620 $ US. The name used for the money transfer is the name given to me by her.
The name and address on the Western Union money transfer from me to her is:
Marina Antonova

The conclusion to this story is a lesson to me. The actions that I have taken or will take was to file a complaint with the F.B.I. and to file a complaint with the Russian Embassy in the U.S.A. And, thanks for this web site it was valuable to me.

Hi!!! My friend!!! I saw your structure, and I love it. My name is Marina. I
from Russia. I the most interesting girl, if you will write To me, that I to
you I shall send my photo. If you want to the correspondence (conformity) to
me, write Me by my electronic mail: I shall write to you the answer in 1-2
days.
Yours faithfully
We exchanged about 9-12 e-mails over the next 2 months with pictures
included. Within the first 6 e-mails she expressed her love to me even
though all of my questions were left unanswered. Trust me she would say.
Then finally came the money letter. I had read a story from one of you informants and it sounded all too
familiar so I waited a few days and received the exact same letter again.
She, or whoever this person is, had told me early on that she could not
save e-mails because others would be able to see them. I knew at this
moment that I was being scammed. I sent her an e-mail telling her of my
discovery and stated that I would give her an opportunity to prove my accusations wrong and I have not heard a word since. I did some research,
never sent any money and hopefully this will protect other potential people
from being taken advantage of.
Here are some pictures so that people can
find out before they send money. It's too bad, the girl in the pictures
was very beautiful and someone I would have been interested in. The opportunity to live in America and have a wonderful life or steal from
Americans. I asked her this question but knew I would receive no answer.
Scammers@Match.com
I would just like for it to be known that I received profiles of scammers from Match .com, and contacted them about it. One day I
received 3 scammers profiles. Match.com would do nothing about it. They just sent me more profiles the next day, and guess what...2 more scammers! Its too bad that they cant be held accountable for the losses due to scammers after they have been informed. I urge everyone to voice your opinion to Match.com or any other dating service that works this way. Thanks for this site, I wish more men knew about it.

Thank you for your invaluable advice regarding possible scams. Since I have just begun this pursuit to marry a woman from Russia and the fact that I am African-American your site has been absolutely necessary. Your site has even provided me with information regarding this particular aspect of my new search. By pure chance I found your site and to be honest I did not think that someone could produce such significant, insightful and valuable information regarding this subject matter. I received an email from this young lady after placing an advertisement on an introduction service web site and she contacted me, however, after four emails she mentioned love. Things got a little too heavy too early for my tastes and this immediately sent up a red flag and I became a little suspicious and therefore sought out your site or rather information regarding scams. I started to look for some information regarding scams related to Russian Introductions & Foreign correspondence. I am not sure if this is a scam but I think that it was heading in that direction and your advice assisted me in ending it before it started. This young lady's name is Natalia Petrova and I got this only after your site recommended that I insist on it. Well, I utilized several of the tactics or questions your site suggested and I have not received another email from Natalia. By the way this came after she or he drop a possible clue to future emails regarding $350 for a visa. Fortunately, I have friends that are married to Filipino women and I know how the visa process works. Nonetheless, your site pointed me in the right direction. I would like other individuals to be aware of this individual so I am attaching her photos. Her ads will not have a picture but if she sends photos they will undoubtedly be very similar to these.
Nataliya Sed
(Ulyanovsk, Russia)
I am a single American male, age 40 who was contacted 12/18/01 through Match.com by Nataliya Sed (originally via double-blind address
tuty79@talkmatch.com). When I searched for her profile, no details were given at all. Nonetheless I replied to her saying that I felt two people must be together in person to successfully build a relationship, and that with her being in Russia, this was not possible. She did not reply with any comment to this concern but rather only stated she was excited that I was considerate enough to reply. She also asked that I write her at her primary e-mail address NataliyaSed@female.ru and I did so.
Although I was cautious from the start, Nataliya's second letter was still sweet and inviting, and I decided to go ahead and write her with an open-mind as possibly just a pen-pal sort of friend or perhaps more if credibility was established. As this and subsequent letters continued, I noticed that she seldom answered my questions or directly responded to any particular comments. So, I changed the manner in which I posed the questions and she then replied to me with more details. It was strange that Nataliya was professing she loved me by the time I'd received her sixth letter, and all of this was within the span of one week. I tried to discourage her from letting her emotions get carried away so quickly but again she didn't seem to pay attention to my words. This all seemed too good to be true, not to mention that the photos she shared are certainly are of a beautiful woman.
Nataliya's letters seemed sincere as best I could tell, but then she sent me a poem she claimed to have written. The grammar was perfect English unlike the letters themselves, so this was a large giveaway of something going awry. I was slow to absorb this however, and responded to her with a similarly passionate letter. Personal details that I shared with Nataliya were my home and cellular phone number, as well as a few personal photos (including family photos of my recent Christmas trip). Nataliya never made any mention of money, nor any request for same. However, she did state that she is looking into how she could visit me in America, and I suspect that would have soon led to monetary discussions.
I found www.womenrussia.com and the blacklist shortly after reading Nataliya's first letter, when searching the internet for the word "monogynopaedium" as used in her letter. I figured this must mean "monogynamous" but did a search anyway, finding many instances of it all among letters from Russian women inclusive of those here. So, after receiving the poem in the most recent letter, a search of "time just seems to bend" from the poem led me right back to this blacklist. While my first visit here wasn't thorough enough to make me suspicious of Nataliya, my return visit now finds me learning that all of the letters I received are virtual duplicates of those here. Enough said, it's time for me to add one more variation to the blacklist.
I am providing only Nataliya's initial message to me and and what is most likely the final letter to me. As previously mentioned, the others nearly duplicate those found in the blacklist. However, I will list a few unique phrases from the letters that might facilitate a web search and finding this entry:
- The cat by name Murka, a dog by name Reks lives
- We together with all family each summer went on a coast of river Volga and lived there in tents
- I walked in the evening with the dog Reks and any strangers stuck to me
- Pelemeni this simple Russian dish which it is made of the test and meat. It is very tasty I likes to prepare granku.
- Our passion will be poured out for limits of carnal love
- I have uncle which works in Moscow To airport Sheremetevo-2 and the aunt which lives in city Magadan.
- My love boils as a volcano woken by god Eros
Thank you for providing this useful resource!

Scam still in progress as of December 21 2001
I am a single, 42 year old university professor open to sincere friendship or love but not actively seeking it. Although I do not spreak Russian, my father is from Russia and I have lived in Europe. The latest letters seemed too bizzare to be believed.
Contact origination: Nataliya claimed to have seen my profile on match.com, have no membership or profile of her own, and to be borrowing the membership of tuty79@talkmatch.com to contact me.. (Note that I have been unable to locate a profile for tuty79 on match.com) So far I have received a total of six letters over about 12 days and several attached photos, sent almost daily each weekday. The style of writing of *nataliya* is very similar to scam of Natalia Kushinova (spelling?) featured on your web site, and the poem sent me in *nataliya's* latest e-mail is identical to one already appearing on your web site. I see a similar pattern to scams you have listed, specifically no response to personal items raised by me, including a reference to my father having Alzheimer's disease. Her pictures are of a different person than similar *nataliyas* on your site, and she reports ownership of a black cat named Murka. A photo of Murka was sent to me today. Note that the subject lines are always unaltere
Money referred to but so far not requested: In her last letter Nataliya professed feelings of love and lust for me, hinted that her "mum" approved. of them(!), and mentioned that a visa cost 290 dollars as reported by her friend working in a travel agency. The letters have not yet explicitly requested money. Before finding this web site, I wrote back today suggesting that love takes time, and that it is unthinkable that a woman could be in love after 12 days of letters.
May all those from Russia and other nations seeking true friendship and honest love, find it.

(Natasha) Bakalova (Kiev, Ukraine)
I began contact with this women during
the middle of September through kiss.com. We corresponded regularly
during 3 months. After about 2 months of correspondence we began
talking about meeting. I work for a large multinational company and we
have our own in-house travel department through which I can arrange
trips (including visa costs) at a substantial discount, so I decided
to bring this women to New York city. I made the arrangements and
wrote Natasha about the travel agency she must go to in Kiev in order
to submit the necessary documents for the visa. She wrote back and
said she does not have an international passport, which is one of the
documents needed for the visa. She wrote back telling me that this
would cost $125 and that she couldn't afford such a big expense all at
once, though she did not come right out and ask for the money
directly. Since her emails were very normal and she had never once
asked for money, I wired her the $125. I wrote her that I had sent
this money on December 18th. No reply from her. After Dec 18th, I sent
3 more emails and still no replies. At first I thought she was busy
because of the holidays, but then two days ago I received an email
from her, but with another guy's name on the greeting of the email.
This email, by the way, is almost an exact copy of one I received
toward the beginning of our correspondence. I did a bit of research on
scam sites, found this one, and guess what? She is listed on page
50 of this list. That's when I knew I had been scammed. Oh well, I
only lost $125, but the valuable lesson I learned is almost worth it.
