I am an American, single white male, 49 years old, employed full time. I was contacted by Katy03 through a local singles website in my city. A profile had been created using that screen name and asking for direct contact to an email address in Russia. That profile has been removed from our local site. I responded to the initial contact by stating that I had been married to a Russian woman and was familiar with the situation in her country and was fully aware of what could be done. I asked several specific questions to see what type of response I would receive. I began receiving responses from her every other day or so. The letters are almost entirely cut and paste copies of letters found on the http://www.russianwomenblacklist.com/janefake.html website. The photos are different, as is the name. None of my specific questions were ever answered, and I was not able to get a last name, telephone number, or passport information. No money was ever asked for, and the letters stopped coming. Eventually someone must have actually read my first response stating that I was familiar with these events. I do hope that this information will help another person avoid getting hurt. It is such a pity that the actions of these men and women make it more difficult for the honest women who are truly wanting to start a new life to make contact with men looking for a relationship.

I am a white male and I would like to report to you about a scammer name Lida Kurutkina. Her DOB is 7/30/78 and her e-mail is lida648@pisem.net and her address is Lida Kurutkina, Zheleznodorozhnaya str, 24/76 , Makeyevka, Ukraine, 83050 . No telephone of course. She is trying to get me to send her $1200 by Western Union for a visa, airline tickets and her passport to come see me in the United States. She gave me the phone number of a travel agency that she is using and it is 38-0623-33-25-82, but she never gave me the name of the agency. The manager of the agency is Victor and the general manager is named Anna Galotenko who she says I can also send the money to. When I told her that I wanted to visit her in her home town of Makeyevka, she told me this was not a good idea and instead wanted to meet me somewhere else such as in Odessa or Yalta. I have not sent her any money as she is an obvious scammer and should be added to your scammer list. I have also noticed that her photos are the same as ones posted under a different name of Elvira Savinceva from Ekaterinberg at another scam site. Please add her to your scammer list. I went to the travel agency and asked about the cost of everything. They said that they can do everything for me,i mean passport,visa and tickets, for 1200$. My name is david and I'm a 41 year old male that lives in the usa. Olga contacted me thru adult singles which is affilated with one that is on the black list. I recived the same letter that jim did from olga back in september of 2002. She asked for money for a visa in the amout of 350.00 dollars. I did go to the us embassy web site for russia and checked out the cost of the visa and e-mailed her back asking why she needed 350.00 when the visa was well under 100.00, she said it was to cover medical expenses and travel. Unfortantley i did send the money thru western union to her in ulanovsk. However i did e-mail the embassy asking if she had applied for the visa and they responded and said that there is no record of this pearson applying for a visa. I contacted bigfoot investigation services and they checked out the address and wrote back and said the building number did not exist on that street in ulanovsk. I found the picture that looked like her on scam.org and sent it to her with the responses from the embassy. Fortunaley i have not heard from her again and adult singles was no help at all either. I belive the woman in the bikini and the face shot are the same.
