Hello, My name is Alex Carrillo, Im a Industrial Sales Manager in San Francisco, and that I received an email from Ms. Elena (Lena) Scheglova, and in July a Miss Elena Scheglova or Lena, and we started writing to each other for 5 months, and we were going along very well, That I thought we would headed off as a marry couple, she never question of my age, and that she said all she wanted to be happy with someone. What I really did not know that she was not very truthful to me... Anyway her emails where beginning to make me happy that I invited her to come to San Francisco and Lake Tahoe for a visit that she was very excited, we kept on writing, that I sent her photos, and Ecards to her that she was so happy to visit that I was falling in love with her, she was calling me her Sclmyshyko Moyo, which I did not know that was, I ask her what it meant but she never told me. 

Then I ask her questions, like when was her birthday, what is her phone number, and what that she was studying in her college, that she told that she was attending college. When I send her a site of Lake Tahoe, that she was excitied that she wanted to come, so I arrange for her trip. She is a sweet person that she send me her photos, and that her smile is that may me very happy, and the emails that she sent me.  I was sending price fare of certain airline flights, and she never told me which one that she wanted to take. Then came the day. When I heard about that she wanted to come that she was going to the US Embassy to apply the Visa, and that she told of the money that she needed. So I send her the money of $325.00 to her bank, which I sent it by Western Union. So that was ok, I made her happy, then problems started some more. 

She told me that the staff of the US Embassy told her that they wanted to $1000.00 so they would issue her a Visa, the moment that I heard about it that I went to the US State Department web site, in the travel section, that I look with a fine tooth comb, and their was NO mention of showing the money up front to obtain a Visa. I told that, and sent her the attachment of the page in a email showing her, and she kept saying that they told her, so I sent a email to the US Embassy in Moscow, and that they do not do that. So I told her that I wanted to visit her, and also take her to Denmark for a week.. Since then I told her to call the Danish Embassy to obtain a visa, since then she never responded to what I wrote her..  

Then came the sad, I was watching a old rerun of Law & Order, and that it involve a story of person writing to a person in Russia, and that he had her investigated through a computer web site. So what I did is type her name:  Lena Scheglova on Google web page, and sadly her name appear. I was shocked, and hurt that she was one of the hundreds of women that would scam a person for money on Visa, and Flight tickets. So I did not send her the $1000. dollars, but I did wrote to her, and I sent the attachement with her name posted on the list. She never wrote back, and say to me Im sorry- Boy was I sucker by a person that pretend to love me, and was never truthful to me. 

So in closing, Im sending 2 photos, and one of her letters, she may use another name, but remember the face. And also Im thanking this web site for warning me before making a huge mistake...  Thank You

I am a 40's male who was listed at friendfinder.com in the fall of 2001--I sent a letter to nastya221@friendfinder in sept. '01 and soon received a  reply--there were several letters back and forth for a month or so---nastya221 was happy to be in contact w/me and filled her letters w/praise for me--she said she was a teacher of small children, 22 years old-from ukraine originally but moved to yoshkar ola when still a child.She like the book "The Master and Margarita" by Bolgakov and wanted to be my muse (I am a musician) In oct.'01 , her letters stopped for almost a month -- she then wrote to say she had been caring for sick grandmother ,but was still enthusiastic about knowing me better--then another month w/ no letters. in  mid dec. , she wrote to say computer problems(viruses, hackers..etc.) had prevented her from writing , but now all was better. Shortly after jan 1st, she said in letter that she wanted to meet me. Then began a series of letters and steps to make this happen---we spoke on the phone finally( a phone # that she said was her friends) and prepared to have her visit here---in early feb.  2002, I sent by wire transfer $1200.00 to her older sister Galina  Grigorjeva's bank account in yoshkar-ola--nastya was sick in hospital and no letters came for about 2 weeks--finally she wrote to say she was healthy, had received the money to her sisters account and would apply for visa,passport etc. There were a few more letters through feb. '02 detailing her plans to visit here--she was to take a train from yoshkar-ola to moscow, stay w/a friend named Marina Soboleva, pick up her papers at the embassy and fly to NYC. Then in early march '02, came a letter from Marina saying that Nastya had disappeared late at night from Moscow streets coming back from an internet cafe. Marina wondered if I knew anything about this---I then wrote letters to Marina asking her to check hospitals, police stations,.etc... I was very upset and called the phone # that nastya had given me--I told the guy who answered what had happened, tho he didn't speak much english, he said he would tell her parents what had happened. Frantic , I waited and in a couple of days came a very sad letter from Nastya saying that something very bad had happened to her in Moscow(she couldn't tell me what) and her life was ruined , she would go somewhere and start over, she didn't want me to tell her friends and family that she was alive , I should forget about her and  forgive her--our love was now impossible. I started writing back at once to say we could still have our life , no matter what had happened--I wrote every day 2 or 3 letters trying to comfort her and convince her that life was still worth living, but no letters came back. I wrote to Marina to tell her that Nastya was alive, I called again the Russian phone # and told the same guy as before that she was alive. For the next month ,I wrote dozens of letters believing that she had been severely traumatized and was badly in need of help---after a couple of letters , Marina Soboleva stopped answering me -she had said Nastya's family knew that she was alive, but didnt know how to help her-- "capricious" was what they called her. In mid April '02 , I finally said goodbye and stopped writing to Nastya. I did ,however, write a real letter (not e-mail) to the only real address I had--Galina Grigorjeva ,the older sister who I had sent the money to. My bank had demanded her real address before they would wire the money and this was reluctantly supplied. Still believing in the scam , I asked her forgivness for the disaster that I  had helped to cause. That would have been the end of it, except that a couple  of weeks later, an e-mail came to me from a girl who said she lived next door to Galina Griorjeva--this girl's name was also Nastya and she said that Galina had no sister named Nastya, but thought that my letter was meant for her(Nastya next door) since she also had a friend named Marina--it's confusing, but I think confusion is part of the scam tecnique--this girl next door was writing to me out of compassion she said--I should not be sad about my Nastya , because she was a scammer and Galina didn't know her. Well... this was a great relief (I hadn't helped to run someone's life after all) BUT... what about the money sent to Galina's bank account? This new story opened my eyes wide to the whole rotten scam. I wrote this alleged neighbor girl that there were many questions and holes in this story---she wrote back, indignant that I was suspicious of everything connected with Galina Grigorjeva including herself--I replied it wasn't a matter of believing what she said--it was a matter of believing she existed at all since I had come to believe all these identities were Galina herself. There had been none of the usual red flags; no missing father, no asking for money for mother's  operation, no sexy cheesecake photos. It was a clever scam because I am not stupid and was aware of these type of frauds--"The Master and Margarita" book  also made for a high-toned literary aspect --but intellectuals can also be  rip -off artists, eh? I have waited a long while to make this report--things  have been busy--my life took a wonderful turn over the summer and I am now  happily married (to a US citizen!) It's been on my to do list though and I am  now doing it--I have not taken legal measures since I hear it's basically futile, but do want to warn others of this clever ,evil (almost sadistic)  scam ,so they night avoid it.Attached are the letters , photos, Galina's bank account information , her home address, and the phone # that Nastya gave to me in Yoshkar -ola . I hope that some justice can be done --thank you for your efforts. David

My name is Rich , I'm 46 and had posted an ad on match.com. This is the same person that Brian reported on November 28th , 2002 with a slight change in spelling. I have been corresponding for about 3 months. I had Googled her in October but had turned up nothing, but I'm not as good of a detective as Brian is. The letters published on this site on November 28th are identical to mine, except the name was different. I have sent her $300 to cover the costs outlined. She had claimed to have received a Tourist Visa within 10 days of receiving the money. When she requested the airline fare she had asked that the money be sent in the name of Tatyana Petrova, her 'Grandmother' so beware of that name and combinations thereof. What clued me to search for her again was that one of the letters contained the string %tofname where the introduction used my name. This meant FORM LETTER. The email address she used was natiksm_911@fromru.com. Attached are the better of the photos I received and the first contact letter. Hi, this is a report of scambusiness. Sending some pictures and documents that this woman uses for her scambusiness. I did meet her at Adultsingles april/may this year. But she removed her ad in the summer from Adultsingles. She "IS" OR working close with the known scammer "Julia Shulga". And they use a false "travel agency" called "Voyage", i will send all bankinfo and other info on that agency, and its still up and running. I will not send my and her letters, but i do have a "confession" letter from her if you want?. When i put my "evidence" on the table, she doesnt have any other choice than confess to me. And she scam a lot of people, and never asks for money in any way. I am still in contact with "her", and the "enterprise is still up and running, i have played along for a long time, trying to save my money i did send 465 USD. Her name with me was "Tania" = Tatiana Dolnova, but she uses a lot of names including Julia, Natasha, Natalya, Masha and more. All emails i got natunya@ukr.net Tania old address natunya@list.ru USES now by Tania marri_@eutc.s5.com = Masha voyage_t@ukr.net Voyage old address voyage_t@bk.ru USES now by Voyage Names who uses in the Travel Agency is "Olga Velicanova" = Travel Agent and "Igor Bortnikov" = Director of agency. Her name and address "she did get my invitation papers on that address"

By the way, all mails from "her" or "Voyage" are sent from the same computer "same computername and IP address". And my profession have been in favor for me, i am a Computer Technician and Security Officer in Sweden. But i did trust her to long, she is real good, i think the best, she almost deserve my money. But for 1½ months now i have played along and collecting info and evidence, so right now she is the fooled one. And the bank is recalling the money, and thats make her nervous. Received: from LEX (storm.is.com.ua [193.108.102.177]), all mails come from this computer.
