I was first contacted thru Kiss.com where I have a profile.. From A woman Svetlana Belaya..  she also had a profile there (# 4529871) which is no longer there..  I returned her kiss mail..  the emails started out very sincere as two people looking to me and share information about each other.. then sharply turned to love and can't live without you.. Wanting to meet and getting a visa to air travel.. The first letter started on August 28th 2001 and lasted about 1 1/2 months with regular emails two to three times a week..  one thing I notice is the way the word were wrote resemble some of the other letters listed on You list..   The money was requested for visa and Air fare..  I only went for the visa thing .. I hate to say it but I knew better but I thought what if ? the name and Address given to me with email addresses .. Last email I recieve was a new address do to problems with her email server.. I am so glad! You are? We can meet!!! But one thing afflicts me and interferes with our meeting.. The visa costs $312 and to pay it is necessary immediately, differently second opportunity like this will not be during 3 months. I have no such money. I had about 30 usd and I pay for start registration documents. I must to pay $282 for visa. This circumstance has resulted me in impasse. As possible what is it to upset me but I have understood what it will not prevent our meeting because there is a my Pete which dream of it also strongly as me, you are my friend, my love, mine the man. My name is Jack Walker. I received an email from Tatyana Moskvina of Orenburg, Russia in late September. She sent this by applying for a friendfinder.com account and sending an email to me through friendfinder. I replied asking for a picture. Attached is the first picture I received. Very attractive picture. We started sending emails back and forth. The subject quickly turned to love. She was so good I was the first one to bring it up. We sent many emails back and forth. She told me her birthday was on October 17. I sent her a CD to the following mailing address for her "birthday": Tatyana Moskvina, Pushkin str., 42-14, Orenburg, Russia. I figured that wouldn't break the bank. I had never been scammed before so I was quite taken in. Seven more pictures were sent to me. I sent many also. Talk of our meeting came up and I started investigating K1 visas on the internet. I received email on 10/17/01 saying that she was dreaming of our meeting. I began to wonder why she hadn't answered my many questions in previous emails sent. The whizbanger came on 10/19/01. I will forward this to you separately as I cannot cut and paste with this email provider. Note that she repeated some text twice in this email. This email contains the information for wiring money to her. Also I will forward the first email in which she sent a picture.

I did not wire any money to her but rather sent a lengthy email telling her that she would need to start answering my questions and also to send me personal letters and also to talk on the phone. While these subjects had come up before it took me a while to realize that she wasn't following through on them. Red flags went up when she told me to wire her money, $262 so she could apply for a K1 or B2 visa. Also she went into this sexual fantasy about me. I did not wire any money to her. This was I think about the 10th email sent to me. The ones in between were very personal and quite lengthy. Also I have not yet notified friendfinder but I will do that shortly. She brought up all of the standard things, weather nice here in fall, I've talked to my mother about you, I've talked to my coworkers about you, you are the only man for me, you bring me heat, you make me love you and there could be no one else, we have trust between each other, etc. One thing I had asked was where did she get the nice studio pictures, as all were professionally done. No answer of course.

I went to my mother and asked for help, she said that she have only six hundred roubles it's her last savings, I have only three hundred sixty roubles, and I can have only about thirty american dollars. I want to meet you Jack all my heart and I believe you want it too. I trust you completely and you must understand that I have share of risk too, but I feel that I love you all my heart. Ukrainian Tours (Odessa, Ukraine)

I was a single white American male looking for a possible love connection outside of the United States. I turned my attention to the ex-Soviet Union to perhaps start up a correspondence with a woman and see if because of their culture, we could have a future relationship. As I surfed all of the websites(not all of course) I happened to see an ad for a woman in Odessa Ukraine. This link was a sublink through  OneandOnly.com, which has since dropped all links to the former Soviet Union. At the time, the company's address was Ukrainian Tours was Ukrainiantours.com. It is now starofukraine.com as of 9/01. I struck up a relationship with a woman there for 3 months and we agreed that I travel there so we could meet. During these three months, I paid this company for translation service, at first they charged me .15 per character. After I bought a 3 month package for 160.00 which was unlimited letters. I sent candy and flowers to her, toys to her 4 year old son.  When I arrived in Odessa, I stayed in an apartment that Ukrainian tours rented for me. Yaroslav was my contact from the agency and it was run by a man named Andrew Margarit.  After writing Marina for months, I found that I had very much in common with her, so I thought. At the end of our stay we were very much in love and were talking of marriage and life in America together. Yaroslav was very happy to help with visa applications (for a price), and I agreed. I learned Russian well enough that we talked on the telephone when I was back in Colorado. And the more I talked with Marina, the  more I learned about this company and how they "provided" assistance. There were many things I talked to Marina about that she said in her letters that confused her. As it turned out Marina did not write any letters to me, and that it was Yaroslav that was taking "creative control" of what I was told. Basically 80-85% of what I was told were lies. I also found out that all the gifts except for  some wildflowers were not given to her. I discovered that she did not receive any photographs that I emailed her, and when he was suppose to help her with the visa applications, he knew less than I did.   This company is not credible and Iam concerned for any men from other countries that use their service. They will use you. They will tell you what you want to hear, and then they will offer things that they never had any intention of delivering on. I am happy to say even with all of this, Marina and I are happily married and living in Colorado. But even before my second trip to Odessa, Yaroslav was trying to convince Marina to "write" to  other men. He only purpose was to bilk more money from men wanting to meet Marina. When she refused he got very angry. I promised I would not do anything because she was afraid that he could somehow hurt her family. Last week she  told me it would be alright if I attempted to put them out of business. I do not want to see other men, only looking to be happy, have to be subjected to grifting  from these two. I hope that any man looking for love or happiness the best of luck, but after spending time there and understanding the philosophies of  Ukrainian men, I must warn anyone using these types of services to be very  careful. These companies are all run by men and they care nothing about you.  They see our searches to be happy as a weakness and are looking to do nothing  more than to exploit it for their own financial gain. Because in our eyes we are  nothing more than stupid, pathetic losers.
