My name is Dave and I live in the U.S.
I am 27 and was looking initially for a pen pal to practice my Italian. I have found
this scammer in your black list and was skeptical from day one after I got an e-mail from Riva. This prompted me to look into the whole Russian women thing and I found your site. I
found her in Match.com. Next thing I know I get my 1st e-mail explaining she was from Ukraine and how poor and corrupt it is. Others have mentioned the same in the black list. I have not been asked for money yet but her letter style is building up for that. i.e. not enough money for now to use internet. I will write
shortly etc. She never has answered any of my questions but does somewhat tie her e-mail correspondence to what I ask. Could easily be masked in the language barrier. She e-mailed the next day every time up until recently. Has not given me a last name, postal address, or even her height when asked to
several times. I am going to play with this a bit just to see if I get the letter
asking for monies. Then I will send her an e-mail letting her know she is
uncovered. That will be fun in itself.

Friendfinder. Her letters are almost comical! She claims to be a poor virgin

She is a definite scammer and should be listed on your blacklist. Her letters
and photos are in the forwarded attachments. She certainly dresses very

Back in November someone calling herself "Tania"
(tnn2002@krovatka.net) initiated contact with me (I believe it was in response to my ad at
friendfinders.com), using the same picture. Her command of English far below
that of the letters from "Yulia" - Very tedious and difficult to read.
Unfortunately, I didn't save the initial email or two, but I seem to remember
her being from the south, near the Black Sea - not Serov. By the second or
third email I was getting the same lines as Yulia uses - comments about
knitting, cooking, her troubles with the internet cafe, and her parents tragic
death. Before I had really said anything substantive about myself, she was
alternating between professing her deep, undying love for me, and laying out a
bad soap opera plot about how her entire extended family has been visited by
tragedy in the past couple years...
I figured either she was lining me up for a scam or was simply the most
depressing individual I'd ever encountered. In either event, I opted to just stop
corresponding with her, so she never actually hit me up for any $$$.
She still pops up in my inbox every few weeks - true to form, a couple weeks
ago she was describing how she'd been out of touch because she became deathly ill and was in the hospital for a couple weeks. This morning I got one
telling me how I'm her reason "beam of light" and "reason for living" even
though it's been 3 months since I've responded to her. Totally whacked, I tell
you!

me suspicious immediately. She fell in love with me after a few e-mails and
wants to visit me and to send her money for airline tickets and a visa. Please
add her to your blacklist " wall of shame for scammers" .

letters should have caused me some concern; without having met me, she was
